Austin is a master’s student in the Clinical Mental Counseling Program at UTK. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Hanover College (Hanover, Indiana). Austin is passionate about exploring the ways in which our experiences, upbringing, and ethnic and cultural background shape our unique lens. She is also an advocate for bridging educational, wellness, and mental health inequity gaps, and believes that every individual deserves accessible, high-quality counseling that reaches beyond the confines of the structures and systems by which certain communities have been minoritized. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors, baking, crafting, and playing with her dog.
