Jennifer is a professional clinical mental health counselor and a doctoral student in the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Counselor Education program. She has experience as a certified school counselor as well as counseling in community mental health and substance use disorders. In therapy, Jennifer utilizes a person-centered approach, focusing on a person’s strengths, accomplishments, and personal growth as a means of self-healing. She also supports her client’s development with tools from Cognitive/Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. Jennifer is especially comfortable working with individuals on grief and loss tasks. She is passionate about creativity and the arts, which she integrates into her practice as applicable. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys painting, baking, gardening, and listening to audio books.
